"Haha, hope you recovered fine Tammy.  It was actually pretty nice out, it was cool and windy.  A nice day to be outside...and no sun!

BTW, it looks like I didn't notice and the date for when we could sign up for the summer 1 league in wilco came and went (deadline was april 27).  http://parks.wilcogov.org/Home/Softball/tabid/1561/language/en-US/Default.aspx

I got busy and didn't have time to look at the website to keep myself up to date on when the summer schedule was upt up.  Looks like we'll have to wait till either summer 2 or fall, depending on which is next.  I know quite a few people are interested but just have not been showing up for practice.  The goal is to play in either a novice co-ed league or a novice mens league, depending on how many women we can find to play (btw, women can still play in the mens league).  It would be ideal to have around 14 people on the team so that when some people can't make it we still have enough to field a team.  Right now I think we might barely have 10 at best.  Its not worthwhile to sign up for a league if we only get 10 as we more than likely would have to forfeit some games as you need at least 9 people i believe to have a game.  How many people are still interesting in either a thursday night or friday night game and think they would be able to make it out every week?"

Ya, I completely forgot that it was Easter this weekend as well. I'm more than likely gonna spend it with my family so I more than likely won't make it out to the field either. I say we skip this weeks practice as most wont be able to make it anyway.

Hi Brian, yes, we're still looking for more people. We just haven't quite gotten a whole team together yet (plus most of the leagues have already started the spring ball) so we're mainly practicing on sundays at 4 pm right now at the brushy creek sports park. If you want to stop by and start practicing with us freel free to show up."

"Just thought I'd post the reminder that we are still planning on having the practice at 4pm on sunday in case you all are wondering. There was a low turn out last week but we still got some batting practice in as well as some fielding. Just letting you know that we'll be out there again this sunday."

We just had our first practice this sunday and it was just a date/time that I threw out there. Assuming others are ok with a separate date/time, we can change it. There's another guys on there thats only available on wed/thurs evenings. If people are ok with changing the date/time I'm ok with it too. I mainly picked sunday to avoid having to rush away from work during rush hour time, although as summer comes along, we could start practices at 7-8 and still have a ton of daylight to get in a full practice.

Anybody else have any opinions about changing the practice time?"

"Ok, so it looks like we're still down for meeting at 3pm on 3/27 at the Brushy Creek sports park. Here's a current list of who said they would show up:

I have an extra glove, a few balls and an extra bat, so I'll take those with me. As Tammy mentioned, if you have extra equipment bring it. Looks like we have around 6 people (9 if the guys I'm talking to show up). Hopefully some more people will show up as well. My number is 512-769-1771...you can give me a call as well if you show up and are not sure who is who...
